Synopsis for the central california coast and bays including the Monterey bay..Greater farallones...and cordell bank national marine sanctuaries...
a low pressure system and its associated cold front will bring widespread rain and fresh southwesterly breezes to the waters with gale force gusts possible over the southernmost zones. Fresh northwesterly breezes will prevail behind the cold front with scattered rain showers possible through Saturday. Come Sunday, as the low pressure system exits to the east, dry conditions return and the pressure gradient will be allowed to relax, finally allowing winds to diminish below small craft advisory criteria.
